Poetry, at its heart, is about articulating what you can’t put into words.
Poetry goes deep, to the heart.
Poetry is a stranger who “gets you”—wholly and without judgment.
Poetry is connection.
Whether it is about wilderness, death of your favorite dog, love, creativity, suffering, or existence, poetry is truth.
But it does us no good if it makes you feel stupid, or confused.
What is it about poetry that always helps you believe again…?
I want to know more about how you feel about poetry, but more important: I want to know how poetry can help us through our greatest struggles.
If you have ever found comfort in poetry, would you have a conversation with me?
During our time, I’ll ask you about…
…What your biggest struggle, obstacle, problem, frustration is.
…How is it affecting your life?
…What are you afraid will happen if you continue down this path?
…What do you imagine is the answer/alternative to this problem?
…What would be possible then?
…What would you love to have more than anything?
